Established in 1981, the Bowery has evolved from a tiny pub to what you see today. The latest transition in 1991 uses the best
combination of state-of-the-art kitchen and comfortable dining facilities. The bar was a stable over a century ago, built for the
horses of the downtown merchants.
Ours was the first of the present-day businesses in the Alley, now one of the best known districts in Aiken. The present dining room, known as the "Clay Court" and "Tulip Garden" were named for former occupants,
Southeastern Clay Co. and Holland Architects.
The West Side Bowery and the Erb Family are honored to have been a part of the revitalization of downtown Aiken and the Bowery
hopes to shelter and give sustenance to Aiken and our many visitors for decades to come..

"Great, Great Food! The meals, atmosphere, and service are great here. This restaurant has a bar, dining area, and a porch. The porch really works good with a big party."CB
